POSITION SUMMARY: The purpose of the Charge Nurse position is to assist the nurse director in providing nursing leadership to the nursing unit.Provides feedback to the Nurse Director regarding patient care, budgetary, and strategic planning opportunities for improvement. Qualifications LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS PREFERRED CCRN PALS TNCC REQUIRED ( Certifications must be kept current) RN licensure in Texas or compact state. BCLS ACLS REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Minimum College: Associate Degree, Diploma in Nursing, or BSN. PREFERRED EDUCATION, LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES Reads and writes Basic English with the basic skills necessary to transcribe physician's orders. Knowledge of body substance isolation. Ability to listen, empathize and respond to patient, family, internal and external partners needs. Acute Care Experience Spanish
